Gear motors for the manufacture of magnetotherapy equipment

Gear motors for the manufacture of magnetotherapy equipment

A Spanish company in the physiotherapy sector contacted us to solve their problems related to the supply of gearmotors for the manufacture of magnetotherapy equipment. They needed a supplier that will adapt to specific technical requirements and that, at the same time, would allow them to purchase a certain number of gearmotors.

Objective: to meet purchasing and technological adaptation needs

One of the main problems expressed by those responsible for the company was their need to purchase a small number of gearmotors for the operation of your machinery, specifically designed for the manufacture of certain magnetotherapy equipment applicable to physiotherapy treatments. They needed to purchase a smaller number of gearmotors than most suppliers set as a minimum purchase.

The other objective to be met was to have a gearmotor capable of meet speed and torque needs when carrying out the movement of the corresponding equipment car. It is worth noting that it is a device equipped with four wheels, an aluminum stretcher with automated solenoid movement and four independent channels.

The challenge of controlling the signals sent

The main problem we faced when it came to meeting the needs of this customer was the variability of the encoder signals.

Keep in mind that encoders deliver a certain number of signals depending on the accuracy of the system. Interference caused by magnetic fields or even dirt affecting optical encoder sensors can cause variations and failures in signal delivery. If this happens, the machine will not be at the right point to effectively activate the different operating programs it has.

In this way, meet these technical specifications and being able to offer the company the right gearmotor to meet their specific needs were the two main challenges to be addressed by CLR.

The Right Solution: The 90th CLR Standard

The customer was looking for a gear motor that would meet the speed and torque requirements of their new machine for magnetic therapy equipment. After learning about our product catalog, he opted for the 90º standard, a model of auger-crown type reducer that operates on direct current and has the following characteristics:

  • Steel output shaft
  • Output bearing with sintered bushing
  • Maximum radial load 10 mm from the flange: 200 N.
  • Maximum admissible axial load: 80 N.
  • Gear material: bronze and steel.
  • Aluminium housing

The customer was provided with standard equipment of these characteristics, applying the greatest possible flexibility at work. This was possible because it was a supplier of national origin and an SME.

Meet customer expectations

In CLR we are aware that our customers expect us to satisfy their needs, always adapting to their specific requirements.

In this case, we especially provide our flexibility when it comes to tackling the project. In addition, we opted for Eliminate minimum purchase quantity impositions of products imposed on them by other suppliers and that were impossible for them to approach.

Our human team applies their experience and knowledge to all the projects they work on. The fact of wearing 50 years manufacturing gearmotors allow CLR to be able to create the best drive solutions for each customer. So, if you have problems starting a project you can contact us and let us help you.
