The challenge: to be able to serve in less time without losing security

This type of machinery, which performs a rotary cooking of the product in a controlled manner, is composed of:

• Los burners or stoves: they give the heat to cook the product
• The swords or rods: the product is placed in them for cooking
• El drive system: the gearmotor belongs to this one and is responsible for rotating the product on all the swords

The main challenge posed in this project was that of increase the resistance of equipment to high temperatures which were achieved over long periods of time.

For this purpose they were used adapted lubricants at these temperatures and motors with thermal protections, which prevent breakage due to overheating.

Development of the modular cooking machine project

CLR adapted one of its standard products to the particularity of this type of machinery.

Specifically, it carried out multifarious tests in the internal laboratory to ensure the life of the product for a series of hours, with the added component of working in an elevated temperature environment.

The solution: prevent engine breakage at high temperatures

CLR offered the customer a gearmotor with a temperature safety system which allows the system to be rearmed once the conditions that activated it have passed.

In this way, Engine breakage is prevented and the customer can be offered greater safety against possible fires that occur in the electrical part.

This feature, on the other hand, helps to facilitate the obtaining of equipment certification according to the UL standard.
